Aussie Flowering Gums, Ready to Burst

Well if you wanted a tough Native Australian plant with spectacular summer colour….this has to be it.

Grafted Flowering Gums which are now available at Annandale Garden Centre in 3 very bright colours – Red, Pink and Orange.

The varieties we currently have in stock can grow anywhere between 2m – 6m depending on the variety and colour that you select. They like to flower at Summer time each year, a bit like myself……..Typically the Red and Pink ones will be the larger growers and the smallest being the Orange, however this season, we have obtained some new varieties called “Baby Scarlett” (Red growing to 3m) and a couple called “Baby Orange” (growing to 3m tall) and “Mini Orange” (growing only to 2m tall). They will want at least half a day of sun to flourish.

The Pink one we have pictured above is called “Fairy Floss” which grows to 6m.

Use them as something reliable and vibrant to fill a position in your garden maybe or even to provide you with a bit of shade from the hot summer sun. Alternatively, as they are growing them to be smaller these days you could quite comfortably keep one in a pot as well.

Maybe we can get our hands on the elusive White Flowering Gum one of these days?…..
